Record-Breaking Rummage Sale
June 26, 2026
700+ Manhours!
That’s how many hours went into Assumption’s 2026 Rummage Sale in May. From setting up, organizing, and pricing to assisting shoppers and packing up all the remaining items at the end of the sale, it was a tremendous effort from many people within our parish and surrounding community.
“Thank you so very much to all the people that helped make this happen,” wrote Aimee Matthews, on behalf of the entire rummage sale team, in a note of gratitude to the parish. “Many hands make light work and we could not have been as successful as we were without the teamwork involved.”
“A special thanks to our younger parishioners who came to help, and a huge thank you to all the cooks that helped feed us while we were working,” added Aimee. “I was afraid if we let people leave to go eat, they might not come back!!”
Every year, proceeds from the parish rummage sale are donated to a number of local charities and nonprofits. Last year, the sale raised an impressive $12,000, but this year, the total was a record-breaking $15,000.
