Summer Service Opportunity

April 10, 2026

Assumption’s annual summer service day has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, 2026! Once again, our parish will be hosting a mobile food distribution in cooperation with the Midland County Food Assistance Network. This is a special opportunity to touch hundreds of lives in a few hours and witness the impact of your almsgiving in person.

Funding Update:

We have reached our financial goal to sponsor this year’s food truck. Thank you so much for your generous support!

Volunteer Update:

At this time, we have 34 of our 80 volunteer spots filled. 46 more volunteers are needed to assist with: checking in of volunteers, unloading pallets of food, filling grocery carts, unloading the carts in people’s vehicles, and traffic control. We welcome both youth and adults to take part, or even volunteer together as a family. There’s an opportunity for everyone to help!

Distribution of food will take place on Wednesday, July 22; volunteers are needed 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (sign up for any or all of the time). Lunch will be provided.

Let’s make this a day that truly lives out the Gospel Message: “For when I was hungry you gave me to eat!” (Mt 25)
