About Us
Assumption Parish Music Ministry offers opportunities for singers and instrumentalists of all experience levels. Whether a seasoned professional or brand new to learning music, there’s a place for all. Our ensembles rehearse on a weekly basis and provide high-level sacred music at our weekend liturgies. Our repertoire is a blend of the best of traditional and contemporary sacred music, and a significant amount of new music is learned each year. We also present a large choral work two times a year, providing an opportunity to grow our musical skills through performance of advanced sacred works. Please contact Jim Renfer, Director of Music and Liturgy, for more details about our program and how to get involved!
Choir Rehearsal: 7:00-8:30 pm Thursdays
Sunday Call Time: 8:30 am
Sacred Concerts
Our ongoing concert series aims to bring professional-grade performances of great sacred works of music into church settings for the community to experience. These concerts are collaborative in nature, bringing together both professional and amateur musicians from around the Midland area. Recent performances include Faure’s Requiem, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Handel’s Messiah, and Dubois’ The Seven Last Words of Christ.
