Open Door

Help Midland’s Open Door serve the homeless, hungry, and hurting in our community.

Assumption has two teams of volunteers who assist with meals at Midland’s Open Door, a community soup kitchen and homeless shelter. One team prepares meals in the kitchen at Assumption on the first Tuesday of each month.  The second team serves lunches at Open Door on the first Wednesday and third Saturday of the month.

This is a simple ministry with no special skills required, but its impact is deeply felt and appreciated by the guests and staff at Open Door.
