25th Anniversary of Church Dedication

May 8, 2026

This past Wednesday – May 6, 2026 – our parish celebrated a special milestone: the 25th anniversary of the dedication of our current church building.

As we look to the past, we gratefully recall the generosity and commitment of the Assumption parish family, who raised this building through their volunteer labor and faith-filled support. We are also reminded of our continued calling to be built up as living stones into a spiritual house, where all can grow in relationship with Jesus, our cornerstone.

“According to theologian Walter Kasper, to be church (ekklesia in Greek and qahal in Hebrew) is to be a people who have been gathered together by the Holy Spirit, around the Eucharist, through which we become the Body of Christ,” shared John Graveline, Assumption’s Director of Parish Life.

“It is truly a blessing to have such a dignified and beautiful church building in which we, as a people, can be and become church. We will continue to celebrate this anniversary throughout the year, and we will discuss as the year goes on how we can best steward this precious gift with which we have been blessed.”

May God bless our church, and all who gather here, throughout the years to come!
