Happy 110th Birthday to Assumption Parish!

October 19, 2026

Wow! We had a sell-out crowd with all 320 tickets purchased (and then some!) for the parish’s annual PolishFEST celebration on October 10.

A festive atmosphere, complete with DuRussel Hall decked in red and Polish eagles visible throughout, greeted guests entering the doors on a warm October evening. Fr. Rick leading us in a blessing in Polish only lent to the occasion, as all those present enjoyed a sumptuous feast of Polish staples prepared through a weeklong effort by parish volunteers. The familiar sounds of polka music provided by the Steve Drzewicki Band graced the hall, as dancing ensued throughout the evening. Little ones meanwhile had the run of the KidsZone replete with toys in Holy Grounds.

We would like to thank all who came out and who worked to bring it to life.  Thank you to our parish staff, Knights of Columbus, and to our many, many volunteers who welcomed, sold, decorated, raffled, baked, prepped, cooked, served, cleaned, and more to help celebrate the parish’s anniversary.

Thanks to all who contributed!
